To change your payment method for a live pledge, please follow the below steps:
- Visit the project page and click the “Manage your pledge" button located at the top of the page.
- On the next page, click “Update payment method” and from there, select “Add a new card” to update your payment information.
- Enter your new card details and click “Pledge” to confirm.
If you make any changes to the Payment methods tab of your Settings it’s important to keep the following in mind:
- Adding or removing a saved card from your account does not automatically update the payment method on any live pledges.
- Removing a saved payment method from your account will not cancel any live pledges.
- Updating your payment method for one pending pledge will not update the payment method for other pending pledges you may have. If you have multiple pending pledges, you will need to update the credit card for each pledge.
- We recommend selecting the “Remember this card for future pledges” option when entering your new card in order to avoid having to enter these details again.
To change your payment method from the app, please follow the below steps:
Android
- Tap the menu icon in the top left of the screen and select your profile name.
- From here, tap the project in question and then “Manage pledge”.
- On the next screen, scroll up and then select “Change payment method”.
- Select “Use a new card” and add your credit card details.
- Confirm via the “Pledge” button.
iOS
- Tap your profile icon in the bottom right of the screen.
- Select the project in question and tap on “Manage your pledge”.
- Select “Change payment method”.
- Select “Use a new card” and add your credit card details.
- Confirm via the “Pledge” button.
